    10 years of |DPG|

    It makes me very proud to be able to say that |DPG| will be turning 10 years old officially on Monday the 23rd. Its been incredibly awesome to have made the amount of friends online and in real life with this clan. Its great that we have a place to call home and to be able to enjoy a great sense of comradery. I would again like to thank all current and past members who made it all possible throughout the many years. Would also like to thank everyone who is in leadership as well. It is more than appreciated.

    This year, I would like to announce that we will be doing something completely out of the norm. In honor of the first game we started out in |DPG| will be hosting an event on our MOHAA server. For those who don't know what MOHAA is. MOHAA is Medal of Honor Allied Assault and is the game that started |DPG| in which we were active in from early 2002 to November of 2003.

    If you don't have MOHAA, don't worry we can hook you up with a free digital copy. Just send myself a PM and I will send you instructions on how to get it. If you still have MOHAA then great go ahead and reinstall if you haven't already done so!

    The event will take place on our MOHAA server:

    We will be playing all of the maps except snowy park and will be a mixture of round based and objective. Yes, we will even be playing Omaha Beach.

    This event will start at 5:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM CST / 3:00 PM MST / 2:00 PM PST on Saturday, January 28th. If you are apart of DPG and use xfire frequently like you should be anyhow, then you can connect to the server via Xfire through the clan favorites feature as well. This even will also be open to the public to help populate the server!

    I will be bugging quite a few of you who to make sure you are coming. There is really no excuse to come! Especially since you can get a free copy!

    Hope to see you all there and congrats to |DPG| on 10 years!!!

    DPG dominated CoD at DesertBash X!

    DPG brought home some medals FINALLY at DesertBash! We broke a 4 year drought for CoD4 and won the S&D Tournament on Sunday morning!

    Right afterward, we won the Black Ops CTF tournament to make it 2 for 2 in the CoD Series!!

    Comments: This map sucked on offense. We had to rely on getting a couple rounds here and there and then win out on D. Remedy rocked it out the last couple rounds for the win. Holy, Flak, and Vash put them in their place. I on the other hand couldn't get into the grove on this map . Also don't forget their one man team lol.

    Comments: Wow.. after a down week last week where we lost on Firing Range.. we come back strong and beat up on this team. I sucked in every scrim we had before the match.. yet by some miracle I show up for the match and we just wrecked them at B. @Studdmuffin scoped for us, @KoolaidMan played a great A and @Flak did a nice job at B and going through B-cut. @Hottie tried her hardest, but it was a rough one for her .

    Anyway.. awesome job!

    Comments: Awesome work! This map is a freaking drag on offense for us, but we managed to get rounds when we needed them. Our Defense was almost perfect and they didn't really theaten us at all. All in all.. good work on a map that isn't our best. We're now 2-0!

    DPG will now use TeamSpeak

    Starting on Saturday, March 5th, DPG will be exclusively using TeamSpeak 3 for its voice communications.

    I will leave the Ventrilo server up until the renewal runs out on it, which will be in a week or two.

    The IP for our TeamSpeak server is: 66.225.232.194

    You DO NOT need a port or a password to connect. Our server uses the default port.

    Now, for those of you who will complain about us going to TeamSpeak instead of Ventrilo, let me tell you the reasons for our switching:
    • We have used Ventrilo in DPG for over 5 years now, but we have never been able to find a reliable provider
    • TeamSpeak is free to use and host on our Deathstar box, Ventrilo is not free.
    • I am looking to cut our overall costs, which includes hosting Ventrilo through a third-party hosting company
    • We will never have a problem with our TeamSpeak server being down for a couple hours or even days due to third-party hosting issues

    I expect everyone to have an open mind and not a condescending and whiny one now that we are using TeamSpeak.

    One complaint I know I will get is that TeamSpeak doesn't sound like Ventrilo and is just more annoying to bounce around channels. I have a solution for everyone.. please download this Sound Mod for TeamSpeak:

    Clean_soundpack1.1.zip

    Extract the Clean folder in the .zip file to your C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\Sound folder. After that, restart your TeamSpeak Client and go into Settings > Options > Notifications and switch the Sound Pack to Clean sounds & Short TTS. This will make everything sound like you were used to on Vent.

    Our TeamSpeak server is setup for the most part, including all the channels. I will give everyone permissions as I see you on TeamSpeak. There will be constant changes to it as we customize and make it look how we want (which is a nice thing about TeamSpeak), so if you have any suggestions or ideas, hit me up with them.

    I will be updating our Status monitor on the main webpage to our TeamSpeak server in the next few hours and we will be officially off Ventrilo.

    Comments: Wow what a match! Double OT! We started off pretty good against them and it became a struggle back and forth. We were down 8-10 going into the final quarter of the match and went 4-2 on offense to tie it up for OT. First OT starts and we 3-0 them on Defense.. and then they 0-3 us on Offense. We end up getting 2 rounds on Offense in the second OT to pull out the huge W. Epic match.. was a rough one too.
