hey i need help ... Ive recently reinstalled COD to my computer, and updated it etc... I shut down my computer by holding down the botton, cause i needed to leave quickly. I do that a lot and this problem never happens to me...... But now every time i click my comp this is what happens:

the first screen you always see that says 500ghz or whatever then switches to my choose boot screen, which i got used to. Its either a simpons matrix loading screen or the default windows xp loading screen. After that it tells me that the comp wasnt shut down properly, what would i like to do? lists like safe mode, last known good configuration, start regularly, etc. I tried ALL of them but my comp would just show the loading screen, and restart. It never reaches the select your user name window. Im getting pissed off. I really miss my computer and i want to play cod. Im on my winter break and i need my COMPUTER! i called ledtek but they always say the lines are busy.. Help

Put the XP cd in the drive, restart the PC, watch for the prompt to boot to the cd and press any key (or whatever it asks) then after a while it'll give you some options. You want to select the repair utility.

That may help you at least be able to boot into safe mode when you're done.

when you start up you need to hit DEL go into setup and tell it to boot from disk,or it will by default try to boot 3.5

when i hit delete it takes me to the setup. It then asks me for a password, and without it i cant access a thing. I have no freakin clue how to get this password. I dont remember ever setting a password......

You had to have set the password. If you dont' remember it, you are going to have to clear your CMOS. In order to do that, you have to remove the side of your case, and change the jumper on the CMOS from 2-3 to 1-2.. I know you probably don't understand what I'm saying, but find out what motherboard you have, look at the manual for it. In the manual you'll find a section for all the board connections, one will be for CMOS. When you put the jumper to 1-2, put it back to 2-3, then start your computer up.. it should have reset your Setup menu, but make sure you know what you are doing because if your setup was janked with, you'll have to fix everything again =/.

In otherwords, remember your passwords! :P
