What to do what to do....

Hey guys I'm considering buying a new computer but I'm not too sure what to buy...what is the normal computer putting out..the best I can figure is about 2.8 GHz processor and about 512mb of RAM...Someone help me out! :unsure:

2.8 P4 sounds good, but if you can go higher without breaking the bank I definitely suggest you do. 3.2 is the standard for budget processors right now.

512MB of RAM is a good start, but again I suggest going higher if you can (possibly 1GB of RAM)

Get a nice video card, something like a Radeon 9600 XT or an nVidia Geforce 5900 or higher.

An 80GB+ hard drive is definitely recommended.

That's really all that matters. If you're not too familiar with computers, I suggest you build one on a site like www.ibuypower.com instead of buying all the parts separately and building it yourself.
