4gb ddr2 800, core2 duo p7450 (only 2.13 ghz non-turbo) mobile with a gtx 260m (notebook variety) which only has 112 cuda cores but runs the game superbly! High textures and detail, 2xAA and no shadows... my both my laptop and lcd tv are 1366x768 native so it performs very well.

I was testing this Asus g60vx laptop out from best buy for a few weeks until the g60jx core i5 came out which it just did... so i'll be returning this laptop today for the core i5 flavor, ddr3, gddr5 gts360 and a bigger hdd for $100 more. (reward zone premier silver so no restocking fee and 45 day return policy on ANY item lol! :) )

It syncs your monitor with your monitor's maximum refresh rate. So if your using an old CRT this may be a good idea if your refresh rate on your CRT monitor is 120. However, if your like most ppl who are using LCDs then most likely your maximum refresh rate is 60hz which means you are now only getting 60 FPS because you turned that setting on...

to stay on topic, traded in my G60vx for a G60jx .. now running a GTS 360m @ 1366x768 w/core i5, high/high/low/low 2xaa and getting a solid 70-90 lag free fps... for anyone interested in what the gts360m does at medium res ... also, had to change my renderer in the settings.ini file to 9 from auto to see/use xfire

5870m 1gb ddr5 / Core i7 720qm / 6gb ddr3 / asus G73JH lappy .... when I get all my games reinstalled I'll have a better idea of my frame rate
